Snacktastic Idea!

Well call us crazy, but we decided to take a road trip from Texas to Mississippi to pick up the kids, and then drive over to Florida for a family vacation. What I learned on that long, LONG road trip is this: 1. Make sure you have comfortable seating for everyone, 2. Make sure everyone has something to keep them occupied the entire trip, and 3. PACK SOME SNACKS! It is this last item that I have recently discovered a new technique for.

Snacktastic Idea

I wanted to find a way to pack all of our snacks without taking up a lot of room in our already tightly packed car. I did a little research and found that a travel toiletry bag makes the perfect snack organizer/carrier. I happened to have one already that I had purchased for using on trips; however, it didn't get as much use as I had anticipated. (I'll discuss that tip later on.) Anyway, the bag I had was a bright pink bag with several different zipper pouches and compartments.

I filled each compartment with granola bars, crackers, apple sauce, spoons, and I have to admit, some other not so healthy snacks. I rolled it up, tied it, and threw it in the car without taking up much more additional space! Anytime anyone wanted a snack, they just had to unroll it and dig in!
